2018 is here and if you look back and reflect on the last years' movements in the industry, calling it frenetic times would be an understatement. Common for the overall shipping landscape was the mergers and acquisitions amongst the biggest players.

With that came changes in supplier behavior, reductions then increases in vessel orders, and new developments in industry innovation and technology which have transformed the ocean transport environment.

We've covered mergers before on the Xeneta blog, but we thought that a visual presentation could tell the story better. Please visit our first interactive page where we go through the main shipping mergers and acquisition in modern history.
