Merchandise Processing Fee

Merchandise Processing Fee (MPF) is a fee that is levied on an importer at the time of processing the entry with the US Customs and Border Protection unit.

The MPF is charged separately for formal and informal entries. Formal entries are charged an ad valorem fee of 0.3464% of the FOB commercial value and Informal entries are charged a set fee of one of $2.00, $6.00 or $9.00 per shipment.
