Consolidation Fee

Shipping containers

Sometimes shippers may not have enough cargo to fill a container for export globally.

Such customers look towards cargo consolidators or Groupage operators to receive their LCL cargo and consolidate it along with others as an FCL container and forward it further.

The consolidator chosen, will charge a fee for this activity apart from the freight costs and that is called as a Consolidation Fee.
